Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Stirewalt
Dr. Stirewalt was born and raised in Clayton, California. Animals have always been a focus in her life. At a young age her family cat Sylvester became ill, the helplessness she felt when dealing with her cat’s illness made her seek ways to gain more knowledge about helping animals with illness. She worked summers for a local vet in her home town and later in the town she attended college. She enjoys riding horses and competing in hunter/jumpers in her spare time. She obtained her doctorate degree with honors from Michigan State College of Veterinary medicine in 2000. Following graduation she completed a 1yr internship at a specialty practice (California Animal Hospital), and was offered a residency in Cardiology. Instead she chose to pursue private practice and opened up her own veterinary hospital in 2005. She lives in Simi Valley with her husband and their furry friends: 4 parrots (Molly a Mollacan Cockatoo, GiGi a Goffin’s Cockatoo, Max – a blue and gold macaw, and Lola a green wing macaw), 4 cats – (Biggy, Blackie, and Chloe), 4 dogs (Sam – terrier mix, Roxy – boxer, and 2 Rhodesian ridgebacks – Luke and Kayla), and horse (Gratziano ), and 1 clinic kitty (chanel).
